Regional Financial Controller


About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team based in our New South Wales Branch. Reporting to the Head of Controlling, this role is responsible for providing the regional NSW/ACT branch with effective operational reporting, analysis and controls to ensure the financial integrity of the business. This role is also responsible of managing a team of finance support staff.

This position requires a significant amount of interaction with key stakeholders across the business, so strong and clear communication is a must.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing month end processes from start to finish
  • Analysis and reporting on a monthly basis to Branch Management and Head Office
  • Forecasting and budgeting controls for the branches
  • Providing guidance to finance support staff in relation to monthly tasks & processes
  • Driving debtor collection with credit collection team

Role Requirements

  • Be able to effectively commuicate with key stakeholders across the business
  • Qualifications in Business or Accounting/Finance or related discipline
  • CPA preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar Financial controller / Management accountancy role within the lift, construction, services or associated industries
  • Strong presentation and negotiation / influencing skills
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer service etiquette
  • Excellent time management, planning and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
