Full Job Description

The Recruitment and HR Coordinator resides within the 1800Flowers.com Shared Services for the Enterprise family of brands. The Recruitment and HR Coordinator will work with the Floral Brand and other Shared Services such as IT, Service Center, Legal and Corporate Finance for all recruitment related activities. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the 1800Flowers.com summer internship program for the Jericho, NY Corporate office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Talent Acquisition/ Onboarding:

  • Assist with Full-Cycle Talent Acquisition/Recruiting process for Consumer Floral Brand, as well as Shared Services.
  • Functions as point-person for applicant tracking system both for operational needs as well as candidate experience and process related to Talent Acquisition and Internship process.
  • Maintains new hire paperwork for payroll and other groups including the creation of offer letters/other onboarding documents.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding process for all full time and intern associates.
  • Assist with coordination of 1800Flowers.com summer intern programs
    • This includes sourcing candidates, scheduling meetings and attending job fairs with or in lieu of colleagues.
    • Cultivates relationships with local school partners for external projects, TA processes etc.
  • Provides updates through internal communication to hiring managers during Talent Acquisition process.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of meetings with hiring managers and other members of HR.
  • Researches new opportunities for streamlining and creating the optimal candidate experience for all applicants.
  • Perform background checks, education checks and references for new hires.
  • Assist in sourcing qualified candidates through social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed and others.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with other HR duties and projects including: benefits/compensation, employee engagement/relations, recruitment/ attrition reporting and analytics, performance and other HR trends, and brainstorming new programs/initiatives.
