About you

You have the dream of being a highly competent and committed Estimator with a track record of efficiently providing comprehensive pricing on a variety of water industry projects. You yearn to learn- in order to take responsibility for the full tender lifecycle. You thrive in using your logical and lateral thinking to evaluate work methods, investigate alternatives, consider techniques of construction and thoroughly research material/ plant/ labour costs; all to provide innovative and value-adding solutions for our customers.

This role will suit a high energy individual who is looking at making a strong, long term career in estimating and would like the support in doing so.

To be successful in this role you will have:

An excellent attitude to learn
Above average communication
A degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying
The initiative to learn estimating and producing winning tenders
Eagerness to gain experience in estimating in the water and wastewater industry
Excellent project estimation skills coupled with project management knowledge
Skills at interpreting technical drawings and tender documents
Ability to monitor market prices, new techniques and cost trends
A proven track record of working to strict deadlines
A genuine drive to ensure quote follow ups are done on time
Exceptional communication skills and ability to drive a strong culture, promoting our core values to be respectful, patient, flexible, accountable and focused
Experience with MS Project, Expert Estimation and overall tender methodology development would be advantageous
A Current Driver’s License
