Full Job Description
Duties
- Performs a wide variety of technical support in a generalist capacity to administer the NAF Human Resources Program.
- Receives and processes a wide variety of routine and complex personnel actions.
- Coordinates with management officials to recruit for position vacancies.
- Answers general human resources questions and inquiries.
- Uses systems to track requests for personnel actions and update status of actions.

- Occasional travel for training purposes to off post locations is required
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
- Must complete CHRA NAF Career Path I within 18 months of position placement
- Completion of DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
- Pursuant to EO 14043, all Federal employees, regardless of duty location or work arrangement, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by November 22, 2021, or before entrance on duty if after November 22, subject to exceptions as required by law.

Qualifications
NF-02 (Developmental)
Possess six (6) months of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, which demonstrates the ability to accomplish various human resources tasks and utilize human resource information systems.

NF-03
1. Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession which demonstrates the capability to perform a variety of recruitment support, employee relations support or personnel action processing functions.
2. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
3. Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.

Highly Preferred: In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office. Applicants that meet Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list

- Area of Consideration: The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is within the Local commuting area of Fort Drum, NY. This includes the counties of St. Lawrence, Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) moving to the area within 30 days from the closing date of this announcement and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

- Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently in an expanded telework posture. If selected, you may be expected to temporarily telework, even if your home is located outside the local commuting area. Once employees are permitted to return to the office, you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within a designated time frame identified by the organization. At that time, you may be eligible to request to continue to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy.
