Applications are invited for the position of Analyst, Financial at Niagara College KSA, Corporate Office in Riyadh, reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance & Procurement. The Analyst, Financial will be responsible for the full finance-cycle of Niagara College KSA, including the financial analysis required for reporting purposes and time to time ad hoc analysis required by the NC KSA Senior Management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop financial models and tools in collaboration with Business Development department to prepare and finalize the financial proposals
  • Support in timely preparation of financial statements according to management and statutory (IFRS & SOCPA) requirements and deliver the P&L with meaningful variance analysis to budget and forecasts
  • Assist the Senior Manager, Finance & Procurement with ensuring the successful financial management of NC KSA’s finances and revenue generating initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in the finalization of annual and interim audits
  • Manage third-party contracts and master vendor sheet for efficient procurement of goods and services in a transparent and fully accountable manner ensuring compliance with financial procedures, value for money, and justifiable use of funds
  • Develop and coordinate annual procurement plans and ensure that the basis for all major procurement decisions is documented
  • Maintain all financial records and receipts and ensure proper filing and completeness
  • Secure approvals and follow up on invoicing and pending documents
  • Assist in reconciliation of credit cards, expense reimbursement claims and petty cash accounts
  • Oversee the full payroll lifecycle for NC KSA, including the monthly processing of payroll in Bank
  • Prepare and process payment of Final Settlements, including End of Service benefits, for exited staff
  • Prepare and verify Supplier and Customer Invoices for posting into the accounting system
  • Communicate with suppliers and resolve discrepancies in statements of accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of payment run (accounts payables list)
  • Review and approve payments in bank as well as provide data and support in the initiation of payments in the bank system
  • Release pre-payments and create accruals as needed
  • Support in the management of fixed assets and update fixed assets schedule and release depreciation as needed
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets reconciliations and the due to or due from parent company working sheets along with reconciliations
  • Support the team in timely closure of the month and preparation of month-end reporting
  • Prepare and file monthly VAT and WHT Return as well as Annual Income Tax Return and Transfer Pricing Requirements
  • Prepare Revenue Journals and post Revenue Invoice in the accounting system
  • Support in the management of the company’s cashflows
  • Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and receipts thereafter
  • Manage Accounts Payable to ensure efficient processing of expenditures based on priority
  • Assist the Senior Manager, Finance & Procurement and the team with projects and tasks as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

Required qualifications, at a minimum, include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree would be considered an asset
  • Minimum five (5) years’ relevant experience in an equivalent role within a finance/accounting department
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic
  • Excellent financial analysis and accounting skills with proven experience of providing financial decisions in multifunctional teams
  • Ability to be accurate, responsive, follow-through, multi-task and pay close attention to details is essential
  • Comfortable and effective in interacting with all areas and levels of the organization to drive organizational goals and objectives
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills as well as the ability to work well and make decisions under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of KSA and/or Middle East financial operations including statutory audits (IFRS framework) and taxation rules is considered a definite asset
  • Experience working in MENA countries is preferred
