About the Role
This position could be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore
We are seeking a high caliber Management Reporting candidate to report to the APAC Business Finance Leader and partner with the global Markets and Capital markets Line of Businesses (‘LOBs’). The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate on planning, regional projects and strategy across a range of internal stakeholders, including COO, CFO, and Global Finance. The position is to meet the increasing demands arising from Wells Fargo’s international presence as well as an evolving financial and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact in providing Financial Planning & Analysis (‘FP&A’) support for APAC Markets and Investment Banking Capital Markets (‘IBCM’) LOBs
  • The candidate will also collaborate with the Central FP&A team on Markets and IBCM planning, 9 Quarter forecasting and strategy rhythms
  • As part of the role the candidate will be expected to execute on local and cross border Business Finance Projects as well as have input into other material regional projects and APAC business strategy
  • Main tasks to include prioritization, analysis, design, planning, tracking and execution of management reporting deliverables including;
  • Markets and IBCM support & liaison with monthly touchpoints on full management profit and loss and related balance sheet
  • Markets & IBCM Customer and Product/Instrument profitability metrics 
  • Direct and Indirect cost deep dive analysis, challenge and monitoring
  • Markets and IBCM monthly reporting from Qlikview, ESSBASE and the Management ledger including variance analysis & analytics, Business reviews, and presentation production and delivery to APAC leadership
  • Strategic Forecast, Planning and Operating Unit (‘OU’) 9 Quarter Forecast support for Markets and IBCM
  • Ad-hoc requests on industry verticals and global clients.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior business leaders
  • Support Line Manager, US, and EMEA on ad-hoc requests, key regional deliverables and projects
  • Develop processes and infrastructure controls to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant Wells Fargo’s policies and procedures. This includes representing Finance teams in various projects, tasks and activities

Required profile:

Market Skills and Certifications

Requirements

  • University degree (or equivalent) and professionally qualified accountant with 8+ years of financial or banking sectors
  • Exposure to Securities trading products and Desks e.g. Fx, rates and Credit
  • Progressive track record of management reporting experience, including staff management, with familiarity of running and or working in a geographically diverse team
  • Demonstrable change management skills, particularly those involving process re-engineering and systems change 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and briefings to senior management
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to analyze business transactions and identify key Finance risks/mitigating controls, combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure and maintain high energy levels
  • Must be able to work independently with positive collaboration within a fast-paced team environment
