An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Communications, Marketing and Engagement team. We are looking for an experienced officer to lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the council’s various consultation and citizen engagement activities, as well as leading on the equality agenda and Welsh language commitments to ensure the council meets its statutory obligations.

As well as having knowledge and experience of all aspects of consultation (planning, stakeholder mapping, data analysis, reporting and evaluating), you will have knowledge and experience of both the Equalities Act and Welsh Language Standards, meeting legislation and working within the equality/diversity agenda.

The successful applicant for this key post will be an enthusiastic, motivated team player with a passion for working with the community, key partners and service providers to support the council to meet its statutory consultation, equality and Welsh language duties.

An ability to communicate clearly and effectively is key to this role, as is a “can-do” attitude, exceptional organisational skills, a natural ability to work to deadlines and a commitment to delivering high standards of work.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
