The Postgraduate Center for Mental Health is a premier non-profit organization committed to providing high quality community based mental health services that include job training and placement, affordable housing, mental health treatment, and case management services for people with mental illnesses. PGCMH strives to provide value to its customers and funders in an effective and efficient manner.
Seeking an Accounting Clerk who will be responsible for the receipt, deposit, and recording of rental payments as well as monitoring and reporting on the status of rent collections. Should have basic knowledge of accounting principles. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: maintaining accounting records, reconciling bank accounts by comparing statements with general ledger, generate and distribute monthly rent statements, maintaining accounting databases by entering data into computer, and posting journal entries.
Proficiency with computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word). Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to multi- task and pay close attention to detail. Entry level accounting graduate preferred. College Degree with concentration in relevant discipline required. One year working with not-for-profit organization a plus but not required.
