Job Description

Finance & Account Executive Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily finance operations (this includes payments, receipts, AP & AR transactions), including liaising with suppliers for hotel related transactions
  • Responsible for a full set of accounts and prepare balance sheet schedules and ensure timely, complete and accurate recording of accounting entries into the accounting system
  • Posting of month-end closing journal entries
  • Perform month-end closing and audit schedule
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation and inter-company reconciliation
  • Prepare consolidation management report
  • Prepare quarterly GST reconciliation for submission
  • Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain good documentation and filing system
  • Assist in establishing internal control procedures to improve the accounting process
  • Liaising with all internal departments for reports, bankers, external auditors, tax   advisors, company secretary, and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance
  • Perform ad-hoc task as assigned

Finance & Account Executive Qualifications and Characteristics

  • Candidates should possess at least a CAT/ACCA Level 2 and Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Candidates should have at least 1 years of working experience in handling full set of accounts and at least 1 years of audit experience
  • Required skills: Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and knowledge in using any ERP is an advantage
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful and personable character who appreciates and works well in a culture of trust and candour
  • Team player with initiative, willingness to learn, appreciate mentoring/knowledge sharing among team members and building a positive team culture
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious startup
  • Effective communication in English
  • Prior experience in the travel industry or e-commerce and startup environment is an added bonus
  • Able to commit immediately
