Eden Lifestyle Supports (Eden), is seeking two support workers to join an established team who support a lovely lady in her fifties to live her best life and to live as independently as possible in her own home at Sherwood. She enjoys singing, music, gardening, walking her dog and spending time with her family, belonging in her local community and having chill out or quiet time at home.

The lady is open to support persons with either experience or no experience in disability support work, as full training is provided by her current team who focus on her individuality and her living a good life. This is about clicking together so your experiences in life, your hobbies and interests, and your values are what we will look at. We are seeking support workers who have the flexibility to work shifts on a 24 hour day roster, seven days a week. This includes up to two sleep overs per week as well as some day shifts. We are able to offer between 20 – 30 hours per week to the right person and casual or permanent employment is on offer.

The role is to support her in all her everyday activities, provide personal care support, assist her to manage her own home, and to explore new opportunities as they arise. The lady also requires assistance to look after her pet dog and support workers are expected to be open to all aspects of owning a pet, including car travel.

Essential to this role are strong values, belief in possibilities, creative and reflective thinking and strong communication skills. Willingness to support this lady to access a range of activities is also essential.

Excellent working conditions including training and support and above award rates are on offer.

You will also hold a current driver’s license, current First Aid and CPR, current Blue Card and NDIS worker’s screening card, and have your own comprehensively insured motor vehicle. You will also have completed the NDIS “Quality, Safety and You” training module. Also essential to successful applicants will be proof of current and complete Covid – 19 vaccinations.
