About the Position

We are currently seeking an experienced SHE Manager to join the team.

Being a specific role, it is essential that you have prior experience within a comparable SHE role.

You will be responsible for the management of Safety, Health and Environment issues site wide.

The role will be based on day shift. Pax is a 24-hour operation. Some shift work may be required to enable execution of specific tasks. This will always be with consultation.

Responsibilities

Manage day to day duties of Safety, Health and Environmental matters onsite
Manage the Return-to-Work coordinator
Investigate all incidents and accidents in conjunction with stakeholders
Plan and participate in safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments;
Complete surveys for Environmental reporting
Arrange Dangerous Goods licensing, perform audits and ensure compliance
Develop and encourage a culture of continuous safety improvement through operator engagement
Analyse SHE trends, review safety reports and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Impart leadership and coaching
Provide direction and ensure compliance requirements with respect to best practice, statutory and legislative requirements, regulations, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice

Requirements

Proven experience of more than five years in a comparable SHE role in a Manufacturing setting.
Tertiary qualifications in a related Workplace Health & Safety discipline
Possess excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
Capable of working within a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to implement new ideas and systems to improve SHE outcomes
Work collaboratively with all levels of the organisation
Provide recommendations and advice to all managers and staff
