About the role

We are seeking and enthusiastic, experienced aged care Registered Nurses who are available on a casual or permanent part time basis, open to morning, afternoon and/ or night shifts who share our philosophy to join our expanding team.

What the Registered Nurse role will entail:

• Lead the care team in the delivery of care and services, ensuring a consistent high standard.
• Work autonomously and as a a part of a team.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of resident focussed care and support plans.
• Provide specialised nursing care, wound care and emotional support to residents.
• Ability to manage time and prioritise changing workloads.
• Provide oversight and mentoring to care staff.
• Complete documentation requirements in accordance with ACFI, Aged Care Quality Standards and Oryx Communities’ policy and procedures.

Skills and experience

• Current Nursing (Div 1) AHPRA registration
• Understanding of quality care and customer service to residents and their families
• Experience working with residents living with Dementia and age related illnesses
• Have undertaken or willingness to undertake COVID -19 Infection Control & PPE Training, Hand Hygiene training and Food Safety Training
• Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new technology
• Understanding of ACFI and Aged Care Standards requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to successfully lead a team.
