Payroll Accountant

Job Description

1- Ensures that project staff are paid accurately, on time and in accordance with the appropriate employment agreement, legislation and its policy

2- Ensures that quality payroll/HR and financial information is available for use by the business by providing accurate, up to date information as requested in a timely manner

3- Build key relationships with internal customers and stakeholders

4- Carry out robust payroll audit checks

5-Manage complex payroll queries across the business

6- Contribute to the improvement and development of the Payroll system to ensure benefits of technologies are maximized

7. Assist with the planning and delivery of project timelines

8Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations in respect of the payroll project

Skills

1- Knowledge of process improvement methodology

2- Good communication skills both oral and written

3-Understanding how the data within the HR system links to payroll outputs

4- Knowledge and understanding of Employment Agreements and relevant Legislative Acts; Over times, Holidays, Wages Protection, Parental Leave and Employment Protection and Privacy Act

5- Provides individuals with information so they can make accurate decisions

6-Maintains the confidentiality and security of all payroll documentation
