Payroll Officer

About the role

  • Joint responsibility for payroll administration of approximately 2,000 employees
  • Work with sites based across all states of Australia and New Zealand to ensure accurate entry and confirmation of Rostering and Time and Attendance data
  • Provide accurate and timely processing for all payroll/P&C transactions including sound and timely advice, guidance and support to staff, clients and stakeholders 
  • Providing practical advice to employee on all Payroll related activities ie. eligibility, application and/or administration 
  • Undertake the input and analysis of data, including ensuring accuracy of employee entitlements ensuring adherence to award, EA and legislative compliance
  • Deliver a range of effective payroll administrative tasks including managing processes, providing services, responding to queries, advising on policy and process and producing reports in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes

  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, employees and other stakeholders to support and facilitate a high level of payroll services 
  • 2+ years experience in a payroll position and/or accounting position
  • Knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements desirable
