Job Position: MedicalReceptionist, Training Specialist
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate regular classes for front desk receptionists
- Identify and evaluate gaps in training courses in collaboration with the Learning and Development team
- Design and create high-quality, interactive learning materials including lesson plans, facilitator instructions, learner materials, videos, exercises, engaging activities, handouts, evaluations, and eLearnings for future remote opportunities
- Partner with operations leaders to analyze and assess training and development needs
- Assess new hires undergoing training to determine passing, remediation, or termination
- Assist in the development and execution of the training and development programs
- Assist with the tracking and maintenance of all training supplies and inventory including IT equipment
- Follow up with onsite training checklists
- Engage in cross-functional participation and collaboration with different departments for operational changes and workflows
- Provide onsite support at different sites as needed and/or requested
- Attend the opening of new site locations
- Continually create, assess, and improve training, curriculum, workflows, and materials
- Stay up to date with industry training and development of best practices
- Execute training workshops across all levels of the organization as needed via classroom, onsite, video conferencing, or one-on-one
- Provide follow up coaching, support and/or refresher training as needed
- Engage learners through interactive discussion, large group exercises, and small group exercises
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience developing and implementing successful, company-wide organizational learning and development programs, preferably in the Healthcare industry
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- Has experience working with multiple learning platforms and learning theories
- Comfortable presenting in different sized groups in person and virtually
- Extensive knowledge of medical billing terminology with understanding of revenue cycle
- Must be willing to travel to different office locations
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to embrace and lead changes at short notice
- Passion for teaching and helping
- Bilingual with Mandarin or Cantonese required
- eCW and/or MDLand experience preferred
- Ability to effectively interact with all participants, adapt training style and behavior based on objectives and audience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong facilitation skills required
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, patient, team player
- Ability to interpret complex information into easily comprehensible and applied knowledge
- Experience in training preparation and presentations
- Ability to travel between Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens as needed
- Ability to coach and develop others
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong computer skills (knowledge of a PC, Microsoft Office suite
