Job Description

Responsible to ensure effective implementation and control of all mechanical activities in a planned manner to increase productivity due to maximum equipment availability through planned and organized function of the department. • The major tasks to perform are engineering support and administration, equipment erection, commissioning and modification, equipment performance monitoring to provide appropriate direction to support the efficiency and safety operation of the equipment. • Ensure the smooth running of the plant with consistent quality and quantity. Key responsibilities and activities Operational • Ensures effective maintenance of system to control maintenance cost. • Constantly review the preventive maintenance schedules of the equipment anticipate and solve problems in timely manner and identify the opportunity for improvement. • Responsible for the immediate action during plant/equipment breakdown/failure to rectify the cause. • Tracking and analyzing condition monitoring activities for predictive (P.M) and pro-active maintenance. • Gives feedback to HOD Mechanical about the field activities. • Provides necessary guidance and support to subordinates for problems, improvements and effectiveness of the system. • Vendor development and import substitution. • Preparing shift schedules, Preventive maintenance schedules Monthly reports etc. • Review and Implement formats and SOPs required for ISO-9002. • Executes work modifications that involves new projects and developments. • Makes purchase requisitions and inspects the materials received against the Purchase requisition. • Ensuring good spares inventory stock. • Maintaining harmony among workers and supporting the management goals. • Coordinating with vendors for materials / services. • Give directives to Jr. Engineer for the day to day activities in Mechanical department. • Maintaining safety and environment standards. • Maintain Discipline and take/recommend disciplinary actions of juniors. • Reporting to HOD Mechanical & follow his instructions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering • License Mechanical Engineer • More than 10 years of work experience in the same industry as required. • Very good knowledge of Mechanical Maintenance of Petrochemical & PET resin plant. Language & Computer Literacy • English language ability required both oral and written. • Knowledge in Computer preferable in Microsoft office application Skills • Skills in Mechanical Maintenance • Supervisory Skills • Leadership, coaching and mentoring Skills Competencies • Building Trust • Quality Driven • Continuous Learning and Development
