Job Description

What the role isWe are looking for a passionate Data Analyst who will facilitate management decision making by providing strategic and tactical business insights through structured and methodical analysis of operational data.Responsibilities:

Formulate business questions by studying business functions, gathering information and evaluating output requirements
Analyse transactional, geospatial, demographic and external data to better understand NLB patrons and non-patrons
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends based on business questions to aid in strategic decision making on a regular basis
Make presentations to Senior Management, operational divisions and stakeholders
Support a system of centralised analytics reporting that is accurate, consistent and self-sustaining
Work together with Divisions to create standard data definitions that are consistent with business data requirements

Requirements

Background in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Information Management or a related field
Working knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Qlik Sense or Tableau
Some experience working with large data sets
Keen to work on modelling techniques and methods which include data mining and machine learning
Excellent conceptual thinking, analytical, project management and presentation skills
Team player with good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external parties
Self-starter and attentive to detail

Successful candidates will be appointed on a contract ending on 31 Dec 2022.
