Logistics Supervisor
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic person to join our rapidly expanding business in Australia and NZ based out of Sydney CBD. To keep up with the growing demand, we are looking to appoint an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain supervisor with Operations experience to manage and control these functions for the region with the existing team.

The Role and Expectations
Reporting Directly to the Managing Director this role involves:
- Ensure all stock is managed and updated through our stock control system including planning and facilitating stocktake procedure and ensure high inventory accuracy on an ongoing basis.
- Set operational guidelines and standards for staff to follow and lead by example. Enforce these standards across the business to maintain stock accuracy
- Ability to assess future stock needs projections based on current and historical information and report + order based on these
- Ability to be flexible and available to meet the demands of a growing business including time zone with Germany HQ when required.
- Ability to manage others in a team.
- Establishing and continuously improving operations procedures for warehouse activities; receiving and storing of stock and distribution processes
- Achieving and surpassing on time delivery standards
- Checking off and processing all invoices
- Ensure accuracy of daily picking and outbound shipments (important with medical products)
- Use initiative to make recommendations on cost saving and system improvements. Eg Reporting insights, cost improvements on shipping rates etc
- Be available and take ownership of activities and outcomes including outside of ordinary hours availability where required
- Support the sales and retail teams with ad hoc requests
- Work closely with other teams to action slow moving stock
- Data entry where applicable
- Assist with picking, packing and various other warehouse duties when required. Eg for particular customers or during high volume and or staff absence or as per business requirements
- Attend meetings weekly/fortnightly or monthly management meetings as required
- Possess sound commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be required to develop streamlined processes and procedures to ensure smoothly operating operations.
Experience/Skills Required
- Strong and clear communication skills over the phone, email and in person where required
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines
- Expense control experience
- Reporting experience
- Degree qualification in Logistics and/ or Supply Chain Management or related desirable. Experience also taken into account.
- Ability to problem solve and make timely decisions backed with sound and reliable execution
- Strong leadership qualities (ability to build and maintain a team and necessary standards) as well as work independently
- Advanced Excel skills
- Organized with meticulous planning skills
- “Get the job done” attitude
- Minimum 3years experience in a similar role
