An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Communications, Marketing and Engagement team. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Consultation and Engagement Officer who has a passion for building surveys, analysing large volumes of data and interpreting findings in a neutral, unbiased manner.
You will help deliver key consultation and citizen engagement activities, ensuring the council meets its statutory obligations whilst sustaining and developing key stakeholder relationships.
As well as managing databases, undertaking research and building surveys, you will collate, analyse and present complex information, drawn from various data sources, to different audiences to inform policy changes and decision-making.
You will be familiar with the different stages of consultation, including planning, stakeholder mapping, data analysis and reporting, and have some experience of using a range of tactics to facilitate dialogue with individuals and groups through meaningful engagement.
The successful applicant for this key post will be an enthusiastic, motivated team worker with a passion for working with the community, key partners and service providers to support the council to meet its statutory consultation duties.
An ability to communicate clearly and effectively is key to this role, as is a “can-do” attitude, exceptional organisational skills, a natural ability to work to deadlines and a commitment to delivering high standards of work.

An ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this role
