Full Job Description

The Analyst role provides support to the Private Placement team through quantitative and qualitative analyses. As this team specializes in corporate investment grade, project finance, private ABS, and credit tenant loan transactions, the analyst will work across projects and portfolio holdings. Under the supervision of more senior staff, the role will help evaluate new investments, make recommendations, and participate in other portfolio management activities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting of potential investment opportunities.
Assist senior investment staff in the analysis, documentation, and processing of new investment transactions.
Assist senior team members in the development of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations.
Work with senior investment staff to develop additional quantitative and analytical tools to enhance security selection and portfolio management.
Perform active surveillance of portfolio holdings in order to identify trends and make recommendations.
Contribute to overall success of the team.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

Up to 2 years of financial industry experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong problem solving skills with a solid knowledge of accounting and finance
Strong results orientation and ability to work in a performance-based environment
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
