Full Job Description

The Loan Operations Clerk is responsible for performing daily functions within the Loan Servicing Department, including the preparation of documents for mortgage commitments and reviewing of Loan Estimates. This individual will perform a variety of general clerical functions and any combination of the following duties depending on department requirements:

Coordinates all aspects of the mortgage loan closing and ensuring all paperwork is complete, accurate and in compliance with applicable requirements.
Reviews submitted Loan Estimates for correctness and regulatory compliance; corrects as necessary
Reviews prepared mortgage loan commitments prior to sending to customer.
Reviews Home Equity Loan closing documents for accuracy prior to sending to closing personnel.
Responsible for the monthly monitoring/reporting of USDA loans in the USDA website.
Serves as a backup in preparing commitment letters for residential mortgage loans; communicates with attorneys and brokers involved in the transaction regarding approval.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officers, employees, Board of Director members and external contacts.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that a positive working relationship with customers, coworkers and managers exist.
Fluency in Microsoft Office software— Microsoft Word and Excel
Must maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and Bank policies and procedures.
