A privately owned family business with a solid reputation in the scrap metal recycling and wrecking industry. Our primary function is the collection and processing of scrap metal to supply both domestic and international industries that require end-of-life metals to produce new products.

About you

You will do the regular Accountant tasks but also participate in daily meetings with senior management. Continuous evaluation of accounting reports.

A solid work history as an Accountant experience, with scrap metal knowledge viewed upon favorable.
Export Experience would be an advantage
You will be a resilient person who is able to multitask.
We are currently looking at upgrading our accounting software from Myob to Xero
This is a fast-paced role, so written and verbal English communication skills to a native level is a must.

P&L reviews – Multi companies
Balance sheet reconciliations
Cost review & reconciliation of related accounts
Cost analysis
Review of Customer and Supplier account reconciliations
Audit file preparation
Stocktake preparation and reconciliation
Other tasks/responsibilities as directed
Preparation of monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports, including assistance with preparing monthly Board reports
End of month reconciliations and accounting, including preparation of journal entries
Assistance with internal and external audits
Preparation and lodgement of various taxation returns and compliance
Maintenance of various asset registers
