Essential Skills/Characteristics for the Role:

Outgoing, bright and have a positive attitude
Warm, friendly and empathetic personality
Outstanding attention to detail
Professional phone manner and oral communication skills, (preferably with “Prime Speak”/”Front Office Superstar”/”Best Practice Phone Skills” training or similar)
Exceptional organisational skills, efficient time management, with patient care and continual quality improvement as a focus
Recent experience in a dental/medical/specialist environment or a similar role
Enjoys working as part of a small and supportive team, who aim to provide the highest possible standard of patient care

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Certificate III Dental Assisting with more than 3 years experience
Experience with OASIS or EXACT practice software
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience in a sales, marketing or health promotion role

The duties include, but are not limited to:

A high level of patient and referral practice interaction
Management of the daily Scheduler of Oasis Practice Software ensuring that consultations and daily workflow is efficient and well organised
Microsoft Outlook Email and Task management
Administration tasks including importing radiology images plus pathology reports from external sources such as Medway and Medical Objects
Some clinical support to dental staff is rate, but may be required

Conditions of the Position:

Fulltime Permanent Monday to Friday
35-38 hours per week or 140-152 per month, according to the Surgeon’s four week hospital roster
Salary offer is $30 plus per hour depending on experience
