Job Description

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the creation and preparation of Japan cuisines
Oversee the smooth running of the kitchen and its daily operation
Responsible for the planning and execution of new menus, monthly promotion, daily specials including research & development
Coach and manage a team of chefs to ensure a well-organized and motivated team
Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures in accordance to NEA and/or AVA standards
Work closely and cooperate with all levels of staff (e.g. superiors, peers and subordinates) to achieve highest possible satisfaction of food items
Manage the training functions, monitor staff performance ensuring that all procedures are carried out to restaurant standards, provide direct coaching when necessary
Manage food cost controls to contribute to F&B revenue
Ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 4 to 5 years of related experience
Possess leadership and management skills
Ability to take on and provide supervision of restaurant operations
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Present a positive and professional attitude at all times
Good interpersonal skills for dealing with all levels of people
Good problem-solving skills
Creative and experimental in cooking
