Multicultural Aged Care Illawarra is a stand-alone 100 bed aged care provider created for social purpose. We provide care and support for older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, who originate from over 26 countries. Our consumers come first, and our employees follow closely behind in the list of the organisations’ priorities.

We have exciting opportunities available for passionate and empathetic RNs looking for casual hours.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated experience in a similar role
Exceptional clinical leadership skills
Wound Management experience
Ability to implement clinical care policies and procedures
Experience remaining positive and calm whilst leading others through high-pressured situations
Genuine empathy for older people
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Must be available and committed to picking up shifts on an ongoing basis (including AM and PM shifts across the week and weekend)
Current Covid/Influenza Vaccination

It will also be an advantage to have:

Palliative experience
Mental Health experience
Experience developing care plans, and the willingness to develop an understanding of ACFI guidelines
Understanding of aged care accreditation standards, relevant legislation, and quality improvement activities
