Barassi’s restaurant is one of Cairns largest dining rooms within a well-appointed Club. The club dining areas are more than a restaurant or café – they are a community hub, where our members come to Meet, Drink, Eat and Play.
Open 7 days per week with all-day dining (9 am-9 pm) the focus is on a diverse club menu producing good quality food and value for money.
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to add to our team at Cazalys Cairns. The position offers excellent working conditions in a friendly team environment.
Under the direction of the Head Chef, assist with management of the kitchen by following and applying the guidelines and required standards. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef and assist in overseeing the kitchen team, menu development, team training, food preparation and cooking to name a few.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team and a fast-paced club kitchen. Excellent communication, strong knowledge of food, cooking methods, 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role and team management ability are important requirements for this role.
