Reading Room Coordinator
Title: Reading Room Coordinator Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: East Side 1305 York Ave Work Days: Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary
Performs non-interpretive tasks in order to allow radiologists throughout the department to focus on their primary interpretive and clinical tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates optimal phone and electronic communication between radiologists and referring providers, as well as technologists.
- Facilitates communication between radiologists and IT support (radsupport and helpdesk).
- Manages queue of important results which require communication.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related is preferred. Approximately two years of experience coordinating projects or programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.
- Familiar with Internet applications.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Advanced interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure, with a close attention to detail
- Ability to project/program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.

Role will require long periods of time in a sitting position.
