Procurement Advisor

Primary purpose of the role is to provide expertise and assist stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage governance arrangements to effectively meet business outcomes and government directions.

You will validate stakeholder business needs, compile and source market information, and assist in analysing markets and assessing risk to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
You will conduct sourcing activities to meet business needs and participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money and procurement outcomes. This will involve development of contract management plans, resolving issues, monitoring performance and negotiating contract variations through effective supplier relationships. You will also be responsible for reporting and documenting using Excel.

Suitable candidates will have broad experience in a procurement or governance role, including knowledge of contemporary procurement best practice or governance strategy / policy. You will have proven organisational skills and ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload to meet deadlines. You will also have well-developed communication and negotiation skills, with strong customer service, problem solving and analytical ability. You must have experience working with ERP systems. Government experience will be an advantage.
