Power Station Instrument Technician

We are currently seeking 2 x Power Station Instrument Technicians at Nifty Copper Minesite to maintain the Powerhouse on a daily basis, rostered on an 8/6 permanent day shift roster with 4 weeks annual leave.

•The successful candidates will be required to assist the Engineering & Maintenance Teams where required and assist with mentoring our new apprentices.

·Be familiar with operation and maintenance of Diesel / Gas Power Stations

·Trade qualified electrical discipline or higher and hold a Western Australian Electrical Licence

·CPR, LVR & First Aid Certificates

·Experienced in a control room environment (preferably power generation/distribution)

·Gas turbines, reciprocating engines, steam turbine, solar, BESS and Citect

·Grid connected (SWIS) and islanded networks

·Working knowledge of and the ability to interpret mechanical, electrical and P&ID drawings and specifications

·Excellent organisational and communication skills

·Ability to work safely both independently and in a team environment

·Intermediate computer skills (email, word, spread sheet and databases) are required
