We are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to coordinate and deliver a programme of literacy intervention. The successful candidate will receive training on delivering targeted reading intervention under the “Thinking Reading” model, and following this will deliver a programme of intensive 1 on 1 sessions to enable students to rapidly improve. At Oaklands we are committed to ensuring that no student is limited in their academic qualifications as a result of their literacy skills: we are seeking a practitioner who shares in this passion.

The successful candidate must also be committed to supporting students with additional needs, disabilities and low reading levels. An HLTA qualification or evidence of working at this level would be advantageous.
