The Julius Mine is located, 55km South of Jundee in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Macmahon will deliver the load and haul & mobile maintenance functions until 2022 with a strong possibility of a second stage extending the term. The Jundee camp has many fantastic facilities available in the including: an upgrade and near new accommodation, squash courts, basketball, tennis and cricket, huge BBQ entertaining area, swimming pool, huge gym & a fantastic tavern.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Team at Julius on a permanent full-time basis. We offer a 2:1 Days and Nights roster flying in and out of Perth, with competitive hourly rate and excellent career development.

To be considered for this position you must have:
• Be available to mobilise to site immediately
• Current HR Drivers Licence
• Proven experience operating a Hitachi 1200 Digger or bigger machines.
• Able to operate any of the other ancillary machines when required (CAT D9 Dozers, CAT 14M Graders, CAT 777D Dump Truck, Water Truck)
• Experience in a similar role in a large scale open-cut mining production environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will must provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
