About the Role

KBR currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electronics/ Aviation Trade Instructor to provide high quality trade related education and technical training services to RAN & RAAF Electronic Technicians. This position is based within the Technical Training Faculty at HMAS Cerberus, Crib Point, Victoria.

To secure this position, ideally you will possess:

A Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent.

A minimum of five years’ workplace experience as a qualified tradesperson with comprehensive electronics knowledge and skills.

Experience with PCB repair, or Fibre Optic Repair would be advantageous.

A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116.

Sound knowledge of Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.

A sound understanding of the principles of Adult learning.

This role also requires you to have experience in Microsoft Office, be computer literate, highly organised, have exceptional communication skills and enjoy managing multi tasks.

Applicants that do not hold a current Certificate IV in training – TAE40116 are still encouraged to apply. You would be required to complete this qualification, through the Company’s pathways, within the first 12 months of employment.

As a civilian instructor operating within a military environment, respect for Australian Defence Force (ADF) ethos and practice is a requirement.
Appointment to this position is contingent upon obtaining a Defence Security Clearance which includes being an Australian citizen.
