Voice Application Developer

As a junior voice application developer, you will be responsible for creating smooth digital interfaces between users and their voice-activated smart assistants. This role will suit a computing graduate with an aptitude for developing software, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Voice is an important new form of user interaction. You will learn to build solutions that consider the complexities involved in working with voice. You will utilise your conversation design skills to design and build voice interfaces that solve customer problems.

There is an immediate requirement for a full-time voice application developer with exceptional communication skills to join our company. Whether you’re still studying, a new graduate or been around for a while doesn’t matter. If you love coding, can demonstrate strong problem solving skills and enjoy challenging work then let’s chat.

Essential skills:

Very strong written and verbal communication
Excellent programming skills (JavaScript preferred, but not essential)

Knowledge or experience in the following is an advantage although not a requirement as training will be provided:

Conversation design
Working knowledge of Google Assistant, Alexa and/or Siri
Chrome developer tools
Source code control concepts (Git)
Agile tools for software teams (JIRA)
Google docs
Microsoft Azure
Technical writing
Understanding of basic security concepts (authentication, encryption etc.)

Personal Qualities

Excellent spoken and written English
Commitment to quality and takes pride in work
Seeks help in solving tough or complex problems
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Willingness to wear ‘different hats’ within the organisation

Candidates based anywhere in Australia will be considered, although the position may be most suited for those living in Brisbane or on the Sunshine Coast.
