Quality Engineer


The Quality Engineer is responsible for performance monitoring the Process Map Database for Audits, ICAR/NCRs, and Corrective Actions. Overseeing Audit Development, assisting as needed with Operations and Process Development. Responsible for overseeing small teams for productivity and accuracy of work.

  • Provides leadership, mentoring and supervision of Quality Leads, Auditors & Coordinators.

  • Evaluate employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods.

  • Continuously improve performance based on the key performance indicators.

  • Analyzes and resolves, or assists workers in solving work problems.

  • Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies.

  • Train employees in Policies, Procedures and PWS ensuring training effectiveness of job skills.

  • Directs and advises personnel in 5 why procedures to analyze non conformances.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of new developments, technology and processes.

  • Monitors QA final acceptance of Root Cause Analyst and implements changes to improve overall efficiency.

  • Develops, justifies and implements LCV process improvements.

  • Build a corrective action system to answer CAR’s effectively by:

  • a. Performing root cause research and analysis of process failures and contract nonconformities.

  • b. Assists process owners in the development and deployment of processes for encouraging process improvement initiatives.

  • c. Assists operational areas in documenting processes, desk top guides, and in identifying and managing all quality records in accordance with all Vectrus requirements.

  • d. Assist auditors with the audit checklists specific to process being audited; develops detailed audit plan that extends to process and customers.

  • e. Assists in root cause analysis and development of corrective/preventive action plans; performs follow up audits to determine completeness and effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions.

  • f. Conducts special inspections with third party auditors and ACC/DCMA.

  • g. Participate and facilitate, as required, in process improvement meetings.

  • h. Develops programs and procedures as requested by the Quality Sr. Engineer and/or Manager/Sr. Manager to enhance operations.

  • i. Provides management reports relating to the quality program.

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification, or the ability to obtain it.

  • Must possess a current driver license of home country; Able to obtain a Kuwait driver’s license.

  • Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience, three (3) to five (5) years of quality experience required, and seven (7) years in contracting environment.

  • Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Tools.

  • Must have working knowledge of ICAR/CAP creation with problem solving knowledge, audit review ability and Document Management.

  • Must possess extensive database management skills and have excellent experience with all Microsoft Office Products.

  • Successful candidate must also show evidence of knowledge and experience in DMAIC methodologies, developing, implementing and managing continuous improvement projects, and process minded auditing skills.

  • Candidate must also be able to work under pressure in a up-tempo environment, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Office Tools and Power BI-KPI Development and Management.

  • Ability to work with very diverse workforce.

  • Excellent English communications both in writing and verbally.


  • Provides leadership, mentoring and supervision of Quality Leads & Coordinators.


  • Work is generally conducted in an office environment, however, duties will involve working in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions, i.e. temperatures over 100 degrees for extended periods.


  • Work will require lifting up to 25 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
